Rivian Dent Repair — Adventure Truck, Factory Finish

R1T Adventure Truck · R1S SUV

Rivian owners push their vehicles hard — and that means parking dings, trail debris, and door dents happen. Rivian’s aluminum-intensive body structure means most PDR shops will hesitate. Joe has the tooling and experience to restore your R1T or R1S to factory condition.

Why PDR Is the Right Choice

Why PDR for Rivian

Rivian built a truck that goes everywhere. The repair approach should be just as capable — precise, clean, and leaving no trace.

Aluminum Body — Most Shops Won’t Touch It

Rivian’s body panels are aluminum — requiring the same specialized technique as Tesla and Lucid. Most PDR shops aren’t equipped for aluminum work and will either decline or attempt it with the wrong tools. Joe has the dedicated tooling these panels require.

Your R1T Is an Investment — Protect the Record

R1T and R1S owners know their trucks hold value. A Carfax entry for body work affects that value immediately. PDR generates zero record — no insurance claim, no paint shop invoice, no history entry. The truck sells as clean.

Adventure Vehicles See More Damage — PDR Handles It Clean

Trucks that go off-road and into parking lots accumulate dings. PDR is the right way to restore them — no paint, no filler, factory finish intact. Trail contact and parking lot dings alike come out with the panel looking exactly as it left the factory.

Technical Reality

Why Rivian PDR Requires a Specialist

Rivian engineered a truck built to take on anything. The technician working its panels needs to bring the same standard — precision tools, patient technique, and aluminum-specific experience.

Adventure trucks accumulate damage — and most shops aren’t equipped to handle it correctly

The R1T and R1S are built for use. That means door dings in tight parking lots, minor trail contact on the lower panels, and the occasional shopping cart encounter. Most of this damage is well within PDR range — but only when the technician has the right tools for aluminum.

Rivian’s aluminum body panels work-harden under pressure, just like Tesla’s. Forcing them with steel PDR tools leaves micro-marks and surface distortions that show in angled light — sometimes worse than the original dent. The right technique uses aluminum-specific tips, less force, and more time.

PDR also keeps the factory finish intact. Rivian’s paint is sprayed over aluminum with specific adhesion chemistry. A body shop repaint involves sanding, primer, base coat, clear coat — and it never quite matches the original. PDR never touches the surface. The panel comes back to factory geometry with zero paint disturbance.

Aluminum-Specific Tooling

Joe uses tips and rods engineered for aluminum panel work — lower friction, higher control, gentler on the metal. Standard steel PDR tools are too aggressive and leave marks on aluminum that are often permanent.

Factory Finish — Untouched

PDR works entirely from behind the panel — the paint surface is never touched, sanded, or repainted. Rivian’s factory finish remains 100% intact, which matters for both appearance and resale.

Zero Carfax Entry

No insurance claim, no paint shop invoice, no reportable event. Your Rivian’s history stays clean — which is the standard buyers expect when inspecting a pre-owned adventure truck.

Complete Satisfaction Guarantee

Every Rivian repair comes with a complete satisfaction guarantee or no charge applied. Dents done correctly don’t come back — and we only take work we’re confident we can complete to standard.

Rivian Aluminum Repairs — Quoted After Review

Starting From
$250
for small Rivian aluminum panel dings

Rivian aluminum repairs are quoted after reviewing your photos. Most R1T and R1S door dings and small panel dents fall in the $250–$600 range. Larger damage, complex panel geometry, or areas with limited access are quoted individually.

Your Questions Answered

Rivian Dent Repair FAQ

Common questions about Rivian PDR in Upland and the Inland Empire.

Is PDR safe on Rivian aluminum panels?
Yes — when performed with aluminum-specific tooling and technique. Rivian’s body panels behave differently from steel: they work-harden under pressure and require a lighter, more deliberate approach. Joe has the tools and experience designed for this material. PDR never applies heat near the battery or HV components, and never touches the paint — two critical advantages over body shop repair.
Can you fix dents from off-road use?
It depends on the specific damage. PDR works on dents where the paint is intact — no cracks, no chips, no exposed metal. Minor dings from trail debris, brush contact, or parking lot encounters are typically well within scope. Damage with broken paint or sharp creases may not be PDR-eligible. Send us a photo and we’ll give you an honest read — if we can’t do it correctly with PDR, we’ll tell you that directly.
Will Rivian PDR affect my warranty?
PDR does not affect your Rivian warranty. We’re not touching any electrical system, not modifying any structural component, and not applying heat near any high-voltage area. The repair is purely cosmetic — restoring panel geometry with precision hand tools. Confirm your specific coverage with Rivian if needed, but PDR is universally considered a cosmetic service with no interaction with powertrain or battery coverage.
How is Rivian PDR priced?
Rivian aluminum repairs are priced based on dent size, panel location, alloy behavior, and access complexity — all of which require reviewing photos first. Most R1T and R1S door dings and small panel dents fall in the $250–$600 range. Aluminum takes longer and requires specialized tooling, so repairs are priced accordingly. Submit a photo via our estimate form and Joe will reply with a specific number within minutes.
